I’ve been thinking about this for a long time.
Not the shirts, exactly. Not the colors or the logo or the website.
The idea underneath all of it.
That what we put into the world matters.
The words we say. The things we notice. The way we make people feel. The small choices we make when no one is watching.
I’ve always believed that goodness has a ripple effect.
Not in a cheesy, everything-is-perfect kind of way. Life is hard. People are complicated. Some days are heavy. Pretending otherwise doesn’t help anyone.
But I do believe there is still so much good here.
And I think we could all use a little more of it.
That’s where Twiga came from.
I wanted to create something that felt like a quiet reminder of the person you want to be and the kind of world you want to help create.
Something you could wear without feeling like a walking billboard.
Something simple.
Something meaningful.
Something good.
Why clothes?
Because we get dressed every day.
And there’s something kind of powerful about choosing the words you carry with you.
All Love.
Grounded in Good.
They aren’t just things printed on fabric.
They’re reminders.
To lead with love.
To look for the good.
To stay grounded when everything around us feels loud.
And maybe, every once in a while, the words on your shirt reach someone else exactly when they need them.
I love that idea.
And why a giraffe?
Twiga means giraffe in Swahili.
I’ve loved giraffes for years. They’re gentle and strong and a little unusual. They stand tall. They see things from a different perspective.
That feels right for this.
Twiga isn’t about shouting louder than everyone else.
It’s about standing for something.
Quietly. Consistently. On purpose.
This is just the beginning.
I don’t know exactly what Twiga will become.
And I’m trying to be okay with that.
I know what I want it to feel like, though.
I want it to feel good.
I want the things we make to mean something.
I want people to put on a Twiga shirt or sweatshirt and feel a little more connected to themselves, to other people, and to the idea that how we show up matters.
I want to build a company that puts more good into the world than it takes out.
And I want to see where that leads.
So, this is the beginning.
Thanks for being here.
Stay grounded in good.
